Sponsorships and Community Activities Purpose and Philosophy

MercyOne is a not-for-profit health care ministry that serves together in the spirit of the Gospel as a compassionate and transforming healing presence within our communities. 

While we look for partnerships and opportunities to build a strong presence in our community, we are committed to responsible stewardship and seek activities and programs of organizations that align with our Mission, Core Values and Vision and impact the needs identified in our Community Health Needs Assessments.

MercyOne accepts annual requests for support and involvement in the following areas:


a) Community Health and Well-Being 

Services that provide health education, access to health care and health promoting activities that advance our community members’ health and well-being, emphasizing support for people and communities experiencing poverty and other vulnerabilities. Priority will be given to those requests that meet Community Benefit objectives. Examples: addressing health-related social needs such as food and housing access, transportation assistance, etc 

b) Organizational Membership 

State or local memberships, advertising, event sponsorships related to community and civic groups, chambers of commerce, local sports teams, and professional/industry groups.

c) Mission / Diversity, Equity & Inclusion(DEI) 

Events and activities in the communities we serve that support MercyOne’s Mission as a Catholic health care institution and further our commitment to our DEI initiatives, including a diverse workforce, fostering an inclusive environment, advancing health equity and supporting diverse suppliers. 

d) Marketing Sponsorships

Activities, events and sponsorships that provide exposure to MercyOne providers, medical services and health care advancements of MercyOne’s statewide system. Example: venue sponsorships, event sponsorships, team sponsorships.

If you believe your 501(c)3 organization aligns with our purpose and philosophy, please complete the partnership/sponsorship form below for our review and consideration. All submissions for the timeframe of July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025, must be received by May 1, 2024.

Qualifying organizations should:

  • Be a local or national 501(c)3 organization. 
  • Be supportive of the community in an effective way that benefits MercyOne service areas.
  • Focus on the needs identified in hospital’s most current Community Health Needs Assessment. 
  • Provide opportunities for MercyOne colleagues to participate and engage in your program or activities. 
  • Provide opportunities for MercyOne to engage event attendees and consumers.


APPLICATION PROCESS

  • Attach partnership/sponsorship information in this application and clearly outline sponsorship benefits and deadlines for materials (giveaways, logos, etc.) to receive full benefits.
  • Provide a completed copy of the IRS Form (W-9) and a Request for Taxpayer Identification Number and Certification.
  • Deadline for partnership/sponsorship request form submission is May 1, 2024, for funding July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025.
  • You will be notified by email or telephone with additional questions and/or if your organization has been approved for a partnership/sponsorship.
