Catherine Wargo, Psy.D, ABN, is a board-certified neuropsychologist specializing in pediatric and lifespan neuropsychological assessment and consultation at MercyOne Des Moines Neuropsychology
Her clinical interests include autism, epilepsy, executive functioning concerns, memory related concerns (associated with various developmental and medical conditions and treatments), neonatal substance abuse exposure, pediatric and lifespan neurodevelopmental concerns and traumatic brain injuries.
Additionally, Dr. Wargo developed a formal neuropsychology training program and outpatient clinics for autism and dementia, and held leadership roles including the director of pediatrics and director of training prior to joining MercyOne. She has worked in an outpatient rehabilitation clinic, group private practice and community mental health settings.
“I enjoy meeting families and children in need of guidance and answers as related to their neuropsychological well-being,” says Dr. Wargo. “I am excited to work with a great team and provide a much needed service to the community.”
Dr. Wargo was born and raised on the East Coast and recently migrated to the Midwest with her family. Her interests outside of work include spending time with her family and friends, being at the beach, traveling and finding new adventures.
