Robert Beherns, MD is a medical oncology and hematology physician with Mission Cancer + Blood. Dr. Behrens received a Bachelor of Science degree with distinction in Chemistry from Iowa State University. His medical degree was awarded by the University of Iowa College of Medicine. He completed a residency in Internal Medicine at the Johns Hopkins University / Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. Dr. Behrens completed a fellowship at the National Cancer Institute (NCI) in Bethesda, Maryland. He specialized in immuno-therapy of cancer and was protocol chairman of a national breast cancer vaccine trial. Dr. Behrens has been extensively involved in colon, pancreas, and ovarian vaccine trials.
