Whitney Waite, MD, MPH, specializes in pediatrics care at MercyOne Pleasant Hill Pediatrics Care.
Whitney’s philosophy of care centers around her love for taking care of kids and helping families understand an illness, making it less scary than it needs to be.
I attended medical school at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia where I earned my medical degree and masters in public health. After that, I completed my pediatrics training at the University of Washington/Seattle Children's Hospital in Seattle, Washington.
I grew up in Des Moines, but have most recently been practicing pediatrics care in Seattle and Australia. Outside of medicine I enjoy spending time with my husband and 3 daughters, swimming and traveling. Our family is very excited to be back in my hometown and so close to friends and family!
I have special interest in newborn care, breastfeeding, adjusting to a new baby at home, accidents/injuries, and car seat safety.
