Sarah Brokus, OTD

Sarah Brokus is an occupational therapist at MercyOne Dubuque Medical Center.

“Knowing you and your child is important to me, it helps me personalize treatment and build strong relationships with each child and the people important to them.” said Sarah. “I use play as a tool to help children. It is so rewarding to watch them grow in their independence while having fun.”

Sarah earned her bachelor's degree in health and human physiology from the University of Iowa and her doctorate in occupational therapy from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. Sarah is a member of the American and Iowa Occupational Therapy Associations and specializes in sensory processing, feeding aversions, emotional regulation, developmental and intellectual disabilities and trauma informed care.

Outside of work Sarah enjoys reading, yoga, shopping, and playing with her cat, Binx.
