Lab Services
MercyOne Laboratory, the laboratory of MercyOne Dubuque, is a full-service, hospital-based laboratory offering testing in numerous specialties and subspecialties. The lab performs testing 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
More than 90 employees work for us, including specialized technologists and administrative support staff. MercyOne works directly with the pathology group led by Dr. Tim Timmerman, which provides medical direction to the laboratory, consultative services to the medical staff, and comprehensive surgical pathology services.
The MercyOne Dyersville Laboratory supports the critical access hospital and offers outpatient services.
Accreditation and Licensure
MercyOne Laboratory is accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP). The CAP accreditation is recognized by both the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO).
MercyOne Laboratory is accredited and licensed by the following:
- Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) for MercyOne Dubuque and MercyOne Dyersville Medical Centers.
- College of American Pathologists (CAP) Accredited Laboratory Certificate for MercyOne Dubuque and MercyOne Dyersville Medical Centers.
