As a joint service with the department of radiation oncology at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, we work together to establish personalized care and goals. We offer guidance, expertise and compassion for you and your family members who require cancer treatment. Together with University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, we have provided radiation oncology care since 1995.
State-of-the-art technology at MercyOne Radiation Oncology Center allows treatment of many types of cancer. We give conventional radiation therapy treatments using a Varian 2100ex-d linear accelerator. Intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) is available if you would benefit from this special way of delivering treatment.
Our team designs a personalized treatment plan for your needs. We design each plan for the best treatment with the fewest side effects. Our team ensures treatments are preauthorized and our insurance experts work to minimize treatment costs.

CT scanner room
New generation simulation and treatment planning system incorporate CT with the fusion of other imagery modalities such as PET/CT and MRI to develop precise treatment plans focused on the tumor site while avoiding healthy tissue.
Linear accelerator room
State-of-the-art modern linear accelerator with multiple, high-energy X-ray and electron radiation beams and digital image guidance capabilities, including Cone Beam CT.
