2022 MercyOne House of Mercy Game Show Gala Raises More Than $390,000
June 28, 2022The 2022 MercyOne House of Mercy Game Show Gala raised more than $390,000 for MercyOne House of Mercy held on Thursday, June 16, 2022 at the Community Choice Credit Union Convention Center in Downtown Des Moines. The 13th annual event was presented by Community Choice Credit Union and produced by MercyOne Des Moines Foundation. The 2022 co-chairs were Erin Kuhl, Chief Financial Officer at the Krause Group and MercyOne Des Moines Foundation Board Member and Hijinio Carreon, D.O., Interim Chief Operating Officer at MercyOne Central Iowa.

Four teams competed in three rounds of game show-style games in front of over 530 attendees including 273 contributors and sponsors, and all to benefit House of Mercy, one of Iowa’s largest and most comprehensive providers of vital services for persons with substance use disorders. Attendees could donate to advance four teams representing MercyOne House of Mercy impact awareness areas: nicotine use, overdose, self-sufficiency and methamphetamine use.
Team Kate (self-sufficiency awareness) won, with more than $46,890 pledged towards its team. Teams were comprised of community leader contestants, including the following:
