Fourteen MercyOne physicians earn Certificates in Healthcare Leadership
April 25, 2022Clive, Iowa – Empowering themselves with mindset, skills and confidence to become more effective leaders, fourteen MercyOne physicians recently earned a Certificate in Healthcare Leadership, a program developed in partnership with Dignity Health Global Education and Duke Corporate Education. Designed for health care professionals, the 12-week program teaches leaders to evaluate themselves, improve communication, build relationships and motivate others using a framework developed in collaboration with industry experts and world-leading instructors.

At this ceremony, each physician leader presented a capstone project that included optimization of Prior Authorizations, Provider Engagement, Multidisciplinary rounding to improve LOS, Development of an Intermediate Care Unit, Patient Satisfaction, Faculty Development and Rural Tract for Surgical ACGME training.
