Giving Tuesday 2020 Recap

On December 1, 2020, the world came together to show kindness and generosity in celebration of Giving Tuesday. Giving Tuesday is a global day of giving and unity that falls on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving.

For Giving Tuesday 2020, we had a goal of raising $5,000 in support of the William J. Semon Family Resource Fund which directly and immediately impacts vulnerable MercyOne Des Moines Cancer Center patients by providing them needed resources like transportation, housing and food. Thanks to the donor support we received on Giving Tuesday and a generous matching gift made by Linda Semon, founder of the fund, we surpassed our goal and raised $7,010.
