Support a Mercy College of Health Sciences Student this Holiday Season
October 19, 2021You can be a blessing for a Mercy College of Health Sciences student this holiday season by donating to the Mercy College of Health Sciences Scholarship Fund.
Mercy College offers a wide variety of scholarships to help support students of merit and in financial need. Contributions made to the general scholarship fund or to one of the many endowed scholarship funds directly impact students and help them continue their education.
Rich Rosendahl and Sheri Digiacinto are a married couple and are both starting nursing as a second career. They are currently enrolled in the Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program at Mercy College. Rich and Sheri both received the Mercy College of Health Sciences Presidential Scholarship last term.
“When you are struggling to go to college, the lack of financial resources can be stressful, and it can also have an effect on your learning,” said Rich. “Those dollars aren’t just dollars to save on loans, they are a direct impact on our lives as we go through college.”
“There is such a vital need right now for health care workers in every field,” said Sheri. “Dollars given in support of scholarships help students, our community, our country, and our world.”
Rich and Sheri are grateful for the donors who made receiving their scholarship possible, and hope others will support Mercy College students through the scholarship fund.
“Scholarships are more than financially helping students get through college,” said Sheri.
“This is a direct community impact,” said Rich.
Mercy College’s Student Emergency Needs fund is another way to support college students in need. This program provides much needed funding for students facing the decision to stay in school during a personal financial crisis such as emergency housing, unexpected car repairs or challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Your gift directly supports the success of Mercy College students.
