Mission

House of Mercy is one of Central Iowa’s most comprehensive providers of vital behavioral health services, and the state’s largest program for parenting women with children. The 501 (c) (3) organization is accredited by CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) and is licensed by the State of Iowa. House of Mercy uses evidenced-based practices to provide high-quality, personalized care for each client.
 

Since opening in 1988, House of Mercy has dedicated itself to making the community a healthier place by providing quality substance use disorder treatment and mental health programs to individuals and families in need of these services. Together with our clients, we help them create a healthy lifestyle and sense of personal self-worth and well-being.

MercyOne House of Mercy Board


Schuster Behavioral Health Center

On Tuesday, January 26, 2021, MercyOne House of Mercy held a virtual dedication (which may be viewed here) for the Joseph & Dorothy Schuster Behavioral Health Center. The center, located in House of Mercy’s lower level, opened in November 2020 and will expand House of Mercy’s outpatient services by 50 percent.

House of Mercy is part of the IDPH Integrated Provider Network, with services funded by the Iowa Department of Public Health and the U.S. Dept. of Health & Human Services Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration.
