Services and specialties

Cardiopulmonary rehabilitation program

The cardiopulmonary rehabilitation program is a medically supervised, individually tailored program consisting of exercise and education to help you feel better, increase endurance and improve your overall quality of life. Cardiac rehabilitation is recommended for individuals following a heart attack, bypass surgery, stent placement, valve replacement or repair and for those with stable angina or heart failure.

Pulmonary rehabilitation is designed to help with difficulty breathing or if you are increasingly limited in your everyday activities due to COPD, emphysema, chronic bronchitis and other lung diseases.

For additional information, contact our cardiopulmonary team, 563-245-7044.

Anticoagulation clinic

The anticoagulation clinic offers extensive monitoring of warfarin (Coumadin), an anticoagulation medication primarily used to prevent clotting in patients with mechanical valves, deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolisms and atrial fibrillation. At each visit, the patient has a finger stick blood test by the anticoagulation nurse and test results are discussed. The result is used by the nurse to determine the Coumadin dosing and the next testing date.

For additional information, contact our anticoagulation nurse, 563-245-7043.
