A Wayne, Nebraska native, Dr. Ensz attended the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He says a big thing that brought him to MercyOne is the philosophy of patient-first medicine.
“It’s so satisfying to come to work and work and together with my patients every day. We work as a team to figure out what they need for their health or treat chronic conditions. Often there are some illnesses and diseases that if you come in too late or when you finally are experiencing symptoms the treatment becomes very difficult.”
>Dr. Ensz is also passionate about clinical research, fitness, sports medicine and diabetes. He says it’s important to be maintaining those regular checkups with your primary care provider.
“It’s super important to have your home base for both preventive care and acute illnesses. When I’ve seen you several times I don’t need to look back at your chart because I know you. I know you, your health needs, your kids, your grandkids, etc. I know the whole of your well-being.”
