Stephanie O'Brien, DO

Stephanie O’Brien, DO, is a board-certified pediatrician at MercyOne Clive Pediatrics Care.

"I became a pediatrician simply because of my love for children,” said Stephanie. “Whether it's an infant learning to babble, a child telling me a joke, or a teenager talking about their future plans – children always put a smile on my face. I feel honored that you allow me to be part of the journey of watching your kids grow and keeping them healthy."

Stephanie is a graduate of Iowa State University and received her medical degree from Des Moines University. She completed her pediatric residency at Southern Illinois University before returning to Iowa and joining the MercyOne team.

Stephanie enjoys seeing children of all ages and getting to know her patients and their families. Her clinical interests include newborns, the importance of childhood vaccinations, early detection of developmental delays and pediatric behavioral health.

Stephanie said, “I grew up in Boone, Iowa and have always known I would settle down close to home. I am excited to grow my practice in central Iowa, where I am familiar with the lifestyle and values of the area."

Outside of work, Stephanie enjoys reading, dancing and being a mom. You can find her cheering on the Iowa State Cyclones, shopping or spending time with her friends and family.
