COVID-19 Testing at MercyOne

Insurance companies and group health plans now cover the cost of at-home COVID-19 tests.

If you think you have COVID-19

If you are not experiencing symptoms (asymptomatic), do not go to urgent care or emergency department locations seeking a test. We are not testing people who do not have symptoms.

Tests can be found:

• At-home tests
  • At-home test from your local pharmacy
  • FREE at-home tests through COVIDtests.gov
  • FREE test kit at these locations

If you have been exposed and are experiencing symptoms (fever, cough or difficulty breathing)

• Contact your primary care provider for an appointment
  • Share your symptoms with your provider and let them know you have been in close contact with a person known to have COVID-19
  • Don't have a provider? Find one near you. Many of our providers offer telehealth visits.
• Your provider may refer you to a COVID-19 testing location

If you test positive through an at-home kit, let your primary care provider know so that they can discuss appropriate care and treatment options.

Regardless of your results, please seek emergency care if you experience any of the following symptoms and inform the health care facility that you have - or may have - COVID-19:

• Trouble breathing
• Pain or pressure in your chest
• Confusion
• Blue-tinged lips and fingernails
• Difficulty waking from sleep
• Symptoms that get worse
