From routine yearly examinations and screenings to highly specialized procedures, such as minimally invasive surgeries and cancer treatment to such as prenatal, labor / delivery and postpartum services.  MercyOne is here to support you and the specialty care you need.

Pregnancy care

We know having a baby is one of life's most significant journeys! From the time you find out you are expecting, to the time your baby arrives, to meeting your needs after delivery – we are here every step of the way to care for you and your family. We work closely with you to ensure we follow your preferences as determined by your birth plan. And, you always have 24/7 access to prenatal care.  Download our birth plan.

Prenatal care for high-risk pregnancies

If complications arise before, during, or after pregnancy your care team has the experience, and immediate access to specialists such as our pediatric hospitalists in our Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, you can be assured you will receive the very best care and outcomes.

Labor and delivery

Our patients’ labor and deliver exclusively in our family-centered MercyOne North Iowa Birth Center. You will be at ease knowing you have experienced obstetricians or family medicine residents, and advanced trained nursing staff providing you and your baby a safe and personalized care experience. 

Infertility

At MercyOne North Iowa, our Ob/Gyn physicians provide helpful solutions to those desiring to grow their families. Our services include: 

• Fertility planning, counseling, and evaluation 
• Laparoscopic and hysteroscopic (minimally invasive) surgeries 
• Ovulation induction 
• Intrauterine insemination

When to choose your baby’s doctor

It’s good to start looking for your baby’s doctor 3 months prior to your due date.  MercyOne has both Primary care providers who take care of your whole family while pediatricians specialize in care for newborns to adolescents. We invite you to start the discussion by calling a MercyOne clinic that best meets your families’ health care needs.
