Dr. Hargens is a graduate of Iowa State University and holds a Medical Degree and Master of Public Health from the University of Iowa. He completed his residency in 2018 and served as Chief Resident at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center. Dr. Hargens is Board Certified in Family Medicine and provides a full scope of family practice services including prenatal care in the Osage Clinic. Outside of work he enjoys, spending time with his wife and children, running, and anything involving Iowa State.

Scheduling office visits are easy and the staff is very helpful

The difficulty is in contacting the clinic and scheduling, especially if there are any questions. The portal has been great for receiving lab results but messaging doctors is so difficult in comparison with other systems that I have used.

I always get the feeling that Dr. Hargens is not "one of those doctor's who is out for the money". He is down to earth and is extremely considerate of my time and his and has even gone above and beyond when finding a pharmacy near my son's college.

Dr. Hargens addressed my concerns and followed thru with blood work and checking out the hip that has been giving me issues. Also ordered the heart monitor for a week as was to have been done yearly but hadn't been done for several years. I had to call the clinic for that report as didn't hear back from them. They did send the blood work and letter this year as didn't receive it last year after my visit as I had requested.

I did receive the lab reports and letter this year from Dr. Hargens. The heart monitor that I wore for a week was sent in but didn't receive any results until I called in several weeks later and a nurse looked it up and did send me a copy of the report.
