Dr. Suchith Shetty comes from a family of doctors and felt destined to follow their footsteps at a very young age. After receiving his medical degree from J.J.M Medical College in Davangere, India, he moved to the United States to receive a master’s degree in public health at the University of Minnesota in St. Paul. Dr. Shetty completed his residency in internal and preventative medicine at Griffin Hospital with Yale School of Medicine. He found his way to Iowa as a cardiovascular hospitalist at the University of Iowa where he helped perform high-quality clinical outcome research for cardiovascular diseases. Apart from clinical research, Dr. Shetty enjoys teaching and has a passion for clinical cardiology. Outside of medicine he likes playing tennis, cycling, running, snowboarding, traveling and spending time with his family.
