Abby Wood, ARNP, has a passion for taking care of others, especially children, as a primary care provider at MercyOne Ankeny Pediatrics Care.
“I believe in working with families to provide them with personalized care,” says Abby. “All families and their health care needs are different, which means they deserve to be treated as individuals.”
Abby has prior experience at MercyOne Children’s Hospital, where she as a pediatric nurse providing acute care to children in the pediatric, pediatric intensive care and neonatal intensive care units.
“I love being able to provide excellent care from the time your child is an infant through adolescence. I’m excited to be back at MercyOne working with colleagues I have admired and respected for years,” says Abby.
Abby grew up in Central Iowa and graduated from Dowling Catholic High School. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Mercy College of Health Sciences and her Pediatric Nurse Practitioner master’s degree from Maryville University.
