Brendan Coutu, MD, MBA, specializes in radiation oncology at MercyOne Waterloo Cancer Center. His clinical interests include treating prostate, breast, lung and head and neck cancer, in addition to radiation oncology. He believes you deserve world-class cancer care close to home with a team you can trust. It's his great honor to share in your unique cancer journey, build a relationship with you and translate complicated medical terms so you better understand your diagnosis and treatment options. He emphasizes hope and community support and will empower you with the knowledge you need to make your own choices for cancer treatment. Outside of work, Dr. Coutu enjoys exploring local sites, especially ice cream parlors, with this wife and four children. He enjoys fitness (to make up for the ice cream), karate (when he needs to defend his ice cream) and carpentry and woodworking (when he's out of ice cream.) He speaks English and Vietnamese.
