I was born and raised in West Des Moines, IA. I received my Doctorate of Audiology from Northern Illinois University and obtained my undergraduate degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from University of Northern Iowa. My clinical externship was completed at AMITA Resurrection Medical Center, where I diagnosed and treated patients of all ages with hearing, balance, tinnitus, hyperacusis, misophonia, and decreased sound tolerance disorders.
In my free time, I like to spend time with my family, friends, and dogs. I enjoy listening to jazz music and exploring new restaurants and venues in the Des Moines Area.
I am very passionate about testing and diagnosing patients who suffer from Tinnitus, Misophonia, Hyperacusis, and Decreased Sound Tolerance Disorders. I find that these patients are in a dire search for a solution and have spoken to many professionals regarding their issues and concerns. When patients come to me and we begin the evaluation, there is a sense of relief knowing that their issues can be addressed. Treatment options are available for these solutions to help people cope better with their disorder, helping them live better lives.
