Dr. David Rettedal grew up in Scotland, South Dakota. He obtained his bachelors in biology from Augustana College in Sioux Falls, SD. He then went on to get his podiatric medical degree from Des Moines University. His post-graduate surgical training was done at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center where he had the opportunity to work with renowned leaders in foot and ankle surgery. Dr. Rettedal's experience includes a wide array of surgical and conservative management of the foot and ankle. He has advanced surgical training, including, but not limited to: foot and ankle trauma, foot and ankle reconstruction, mid-foot and hind-foot fusion, ankle arthroscopy, total ankle replacement, tendon transfers and repair, and external fixation.
In his spare time, Dr. Rettedal is an avid golfer. He also enjoys running, fishing, and live music events. He is a sports fan, and roots for the Minnesota Vikings and Twins. He is excited to be back in the Midwest serving the people in the Siouxland area.
