Erik Brink, DO, is a surgeon at MercyOne North Iowa General Surgery.
“Seeing you live your best life, becoming part of your healing journey and seeing you on your path to better health is what I enjoy most about being a surgeon,” said Erik. “I often help you at your worst times, and walking along side you in your journey is rewarding for me.”
Erik received his bachelor’s degree from Warner Pacific University in Portland, Oregon, and his medical degree from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri. He is a certified member of the Fellow American College of Osteopathic Surgeons (FACOS), and Fellow American College of Surgeons (FACS). Erik’s clinical interests include general surgery, wound care and preventive health.
“The first time you save a life is a feeling you’ll never forget. Medicine is not just a job for me, it’s a calling and a ministry. So, I minister to people where they are at,” said Erik.
Outside of work Erik enjoys gardening, fishing, hunting and traveling.
