Jerry Bouslog PT, STS, CEAS, CSMT, TPS, specializes in physical therapy care at MercyOne South Des Moines Physical Therapy.
Jerry’s philosophy of care centers around his ability to help patients maximize their function, whether that be due to a simple orthopedic injury or much more complex chronic pain states.

I greatly enjoy helping clients understand how what they do affects their overall health, and that they have more control over their well-being than they are aware of. It’s easy to tell people what they should do, but not always explain why or how to do it. That is something that as a physical therapist I prioritize as I build a patient-physical therapist relationship.
I was born on an Air Force base in Gila Bend, Arizona and grew up on the south side of Chicago. I have a diverse work background, as I have put myself through school twice. Once I found out what I was passionate about, I began my journey with studying physical therapy, where I began at MercyOne after graduating and moving to Des Moines.
We have a great staff at the MercyOne South Des Moines Physical Therapy location and I am allowed to treat my patients in the way that I feel is in their best interest. I am able to provide that care in a one-on-one environment that best supports their education and gives me the ability to meet their needs in a holistic manner.
I am a woodworker, gardener, camper, hiker, occasional hunter and motorcyclist who plays guitar pretty poorly and does not take himself too seriously.
