Karim Bayoumy, MD

Karim Bayoumy, MD, is a hospitalist at MercyOne Waterloo Medical Center.

Educating patients about their conditions and treatment options is important to Karim. “I am proud to be with you on some of your toughest days and I promise to help you make the right care decisions for you and your family,” said Karim. “How you think about your health is important to getting well,” Karim said. Karim earned his medical degree at Weill Cornell Medicine–Qatar. He trained in internal medicine at a Brooklyn, New York, hospital affiliated with Weill Cornell Medicine.

Karim speaks fluent English and his native Arabic language. He was born in Egypt and grew up in the United Arab Emirates. His personal interests include long distance running and powerlifting.
