I chose a career in physical therapy because it combines two of my interests: wellness/fitness and medicine. Also, I get to work as a team with the patient, their family and other providers.
I strive to provide evidence-based care using the most current data available. I am a lifelong learner and hope to help my patients meet their goals in an efficient and effective manner based on this evidence. I would also like to help make MercyOne the provider of choice for anyone seeking physical therapy services by demonstrating the compassion and encouragement needed to help my patients overcome barriers to living a fulfilling life.
As a physical therapist, I am often working with patients who are struggling with pain or functional impairments. I truly enjoy partnering with them to meet their goals no matter how great or small. Unlike other medical specialties, PTs work with patients several times per week for weeks to months. I get to know them on a one-on-one level and share in their pride when they achieve something they thought would never happen.
My goal as a physical therapist is to utilize the science of evidence based practice and the art of compassionate care to partner with my patients to meet their health care and mobility goals to reach their highest possible quality of life.
