For more than 30 years, Kelly Pomerenke, MD, has served as a family physician, caring for patients in family and emergency medicine and has experience in nursing home medical directorship and community health clinics.
"When I got the call about this need in the community for a medical director in Primghar, I knew it was the right thing to do," he said. "I love the interactions I get to have with my patients and our colleagues every day and when you can be a part of helping to take care of a problem or prevent a disease, that's really rewarding."
Dr. Pomerenke graduated from the Sanford School of Medicine at the University of South Dakota. He attended his residency at the University of Iowa Family Medicine. He is passionate about geriatric and preventative medicine.
Dr. Pomerenke is married. Outside of work he is a member of Central Reformed Church, enjoys attending and watching football games (the LA Rams and Michigan Wolverines), reading, golfing, attending his family’s events and live music.
