My desire to pursue medicine stems from my experiences growing up in rural Kenya. When I was young, there was a shortage of medical providers and patients would travel long distances to find care. Being able to care for patients of all ages and genders, and the variety of conditions is what draws me to family medicine. Someday, I hope to use my medical knowledge to do international missions.
