Sara Shaffer, MSN, ARNP, PMHNP-BC, is a provider at MercyOne Oelwein Behavioral Health Care.
“I adopt a holistic, non-judgmental, patient-centered approach. I promise to see you as a whole person and not just a diagnosis,” said Sara. Sara is a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She earned her master’s degree and bachelor’s degree in nursing from Walden University.
She provides evidence-based care to adults and children. Sara specializes in conditions such as anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD and substance abuse.
“I work to further destigmatize behavioral health care and stand up as an advocate for you,” said Sara. “I’m privileged to join you on your journey during a vulnerable time in your life.”
Sara enjoys family time, traveling and basketball outside of work.
