You will find this is true by viewing the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) survey, which asks patients about their experiences with medical, surgical or maternity care during a recent overnight stay in the hospital. The HCAHPS survey allows consumers to make fair and objective comparisons between hospitals. This data is reported in detail at the Hospital Compare site at http://www.medicare.gov/hospitalcompare.
