By having multiple services under one roof, it allows patients to meet with their care team at the same time to formulate a personalized care plan, reducing time from diagnosis to treatment. We use the latest technology to treat cancers that may have been untreatable or inoperable in the past and offer hope for cancer survival.

Multi-cancer early detection clinic now available at RDCC

Doctors can test for five cancers (breast, colon, cervical, prostate and some lung cancers) through a traditional screening. However, studies show nearly two-thirds of cancer deaths are from cancers that don’t fall into traditional screening.

MercyOne Richard Deming Cancer Center now offers a multi-cancer early detection clinic to screen for multiple cancers with a single blood test. This test is offered to patients at high risk for developing cancer, including if you:

• Have genetic mutations that place you at high risk for cancer.
• Have a personal history of cancer and have been cancer-free for at least one year.
• Have a significant family history of cancer.

Comprehensive, multi-disciplinary patient-centered care

• In this evidence-based model, the patient is always our primary focus. A multidisciplinary clinic where cancer patients can meet with their expert care team at the same time in one place to formulate a personalized care plan, reducing time from diagnosis to treatment.
• The multidisciplinary care model allows dynamic discussions amongst physicians enhanced with complete patient histories, diagnostic testing and pertinent procedures to create a comprehensive scope of patient needs.
• A nurse navigator will help patients traverse the complex health care system and serve as dedicated and consistent points of contact for referrals, weekly schedules and more.

• Our team-based, collaborative approach, combined with the latest technology such as CyberKnife stereotactic radiosurgery system and leading edge diagnostic tools such as ION navigational bronchoscopy ensures patients receive the most effective treatment.
