About MercyOne Genesis Silvis Birth Center

Find a birth experience tailored to your wishes and needs at MercyOne Genesis. Here, you and your family will welcome your new arrival in a warm, comforting and safe environment.

Our birth center is a recipient of the top-quality award from the Illinois Perinatal Quality Collaborative. We’re committed to improving the quality of care for moms and babies.

You can count on our expert care team to be here for you. Your care team could include:

  • Obstetrician
  • Certified Lactation Counselors
  • Mother-baby nurse
  • Neonatal Nurse Practitioners
  • Pediatric provider
  • Pharmacy team member

Our expert care team is equipped to assist with conditions that may arise with pregnancy. These can include breastfeeding challenges such as trouble latching, monitoring blood sugar for gestational diabetes during labor and delivery, high-risk pregnancy, miscarriage, postpartum depression, preterm labor, preeclampsia and stillbirth.

We have a Level II Special Care Nursery that can care for premature and moderately sick babies. Find comfort knowing your baby has fast access–in the unlikely event he or she needs it–to experienced providers and nurses who use the latest in advanced technology.

If your baby needs a higher level of neonatal intensive care, we work in close collaboration with OSF Healthcare Children’s Hospital of Illinois in Peoria, ranked in the nation’s Top 50 for neonatology care.
