Traveling for the holidays during COVID-19
October 13, 2021Categories: COVID-19 What You Need To Know
Traveling this holiday season may increase your chance of spreading and getting COVID-19. Protect yourself and others against respiratory illness such as COVID-19 while you celebrate this year.
Check local and state requirements
Before you embark on your holiday, check to see if there are any restrictions in the areas you plan to visit. Some state, local and territorial governments have requirements who can travel throughout the area based on origin location or previous travel. Visit the Center of Disease Control and Prevention website to learn whether your travel destination has any limitations or requirements.
If you are planning on traveling internationally, reference the CDC’s Travel Notice website for details about entry requirements and restrictions for arriving travelers, such as mandatory testing or quarantine.
