Contributions are utilized to enhance the quality of patient care, to implement educational health programs, and to acquire new medical equipment. The income will be used to benefit the Oelwein area and will operate exclusively for non-profit healthcare purposes.

At MercyOne Oelwein Medical Center our daily mission is advancing the excellence of our medical services for your life and those you love.

You can support this caring effort. Your charitable gifts are special ways to commemorate someone you love. By supporting life in the memory of those you love, you can advance the excellence of medical services available to others at Oelwein Medical Center.

Individual gifts may be donated to the Foundation. All gifts may be designated to specific health care programs, if desired, and are tax-deductible. Gift amounts are not made public.

Our Memorial Gift Program was created for those moments when a family or friend wished to express sympathy in terms of a "living gift". Establishing a memorial frequently fulfills this purpose. A memorial is automatically established in the name of an individual when a gift is received. All memorial gifts are used for endowments and special projects.

Your gift will help MercyOne continue to provide quality medical care in Oelwein. Your support is vital and deeply appreciated. Contributions mean a healthier tomorrow for those who need our help.

Auxiliary members give their time and talents to support the MercyOne hospitals in northeast Iowa and the communities we serve. This support is provided through volunteering, fundraising and scholarships.
The purpose of each hospital auxiliary is to:

  • Promote cooperative interest between the hospital and the community
  • Raise funds for the benefit of the hospital
  • Assist in any activities approved by the auxiliary and the Hospital Board of Directors
  • Provide funds for and administer scholarships for qualified applicants for study in a health care field
