Meet with a Dietitian
MercyOne registered dietitians provide one-on-one consultation to discuss health concerns, nutrition, weight management, and more. A physician's referral is needed to schedule an appointment.
Common topics to discuss with a dietitian include:

- Eating disorders
- Food allergies/intolerances

- High cholesterol

What to bring when you meet with a dietitian:
- Food journal: Record your food intake for two to three days prior to your appointment. This will help the dietitian develop a personalized plan for you.
- List of any medications, vitamins, and supplements you are taking.
- Blood sugar logbook (if diabetic)
- Insurance coverage: Many insurance plans cover the cost of nutrition counseling. However, each insurance company has its own policy regarding payment. Please contact your insurance provider to see if nutrition services are covered.
