CCH Foundation raises $60,000 for
MercyOne Elkader Medical Center 3D Mammography Unit
The MercyOne Elkader Medical Center Foundation
Board presented a $60,000 check to MercyOne Elkader Medical Center to be used towards the purchase of the 3D mammography unit. The new technology was installed in July of 2018. All proceeds from the CCH Foundation’s 2018 Gala and Golf Tournament were used towards making this financial commitment to the hospital.
The 3D mammography technology offers patients greater accuracy, less unnecessary callbacks, earlier breast cancer detection, faster scans and a safe radiation exposure. The technology benefits women of all ages and breast densities.
