Making Quality Care Possible for all Patients
MercyOne does not refuse medically necessary or emergency care. Assistance is provided to low-income individuals and people with special health care expenses who live in our service area because everyone deserves access to quality care, regardless of their financial situation.
MercyOne will not pursue legal action to collect a judgement, place a lein on an individual's property or report the individual to a credit bureau if you are applying for or receiving financial assistance.

Qualifying Services
The MercyOne Financial Assistance Program may be used for all medically necessary hospital services, including inpatient, emergency, and medical group outpatient services for residents within our service area.
Which Services Do Not Apply?
Our Financial Assistance Program does not include the following:
- Cosmetic surgery
- Services that are not medically necessary
- Services that result from patients going out of their insurance network for care
Medicaid and Government Assistance Programs

Billing & Collections
MercyOne will implement billing and collection practices for the patient payment obligations that are fair, consistent and compliant with state and federal regulations.
