Welcome to MercyOne Northeast Iowa Family Medicine Residency!
As the Chief Resident for the 2024-2025 academic year, I'm thrilled to introduce you to our program. Choosing a residency is one of the most important decisions of your graduate career, and I understand you're likely considering many great options. Here at MercyOne Northeast Iowa, we take pride in offering a supportive and enriching environment that fosters your growth as a family physician. It might surprise you to know that we’re not just about the learning, we care about our people.
One of the things that truly sets us apart is the unopposed nature of our program. You'll benefit from close, one-on-one mentorship with our attending physicians, gaining valuable clinical experience that might be hard to find elsewhere. We also boast a strong emphasis on procedures, ensuring you graduate well-equipped to handle a wide range of patient needs. Unlike some other residencies, you'll be right there, getting real hands-on experience – no sidelines here!
Our faculty is astounding. They're passionate about teaching and will be your biggest cheerleaders throughout your residency journey. We are also affiliated with the University of Iowa Hospital Center, which grants you access to incredible resources, further enriching your residency experience.
