How to Apply

Candidates for an Interventional Cardiology Fellowship should be board-certified or -eligible in cardiology and have completed a three-year cardiology fellowship at an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME)-accredited institution.

Candidates should have completed at least six months of training in the cardiac catheterization laboratory with 300 cumulative catheterization procedures (COCATS Level 2 training) and have a recommendation from the director of the cardiac catheterization laboratory where this training took place.

The Interventional Fellowship program accepts applications via the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) from December 1 to January 31 for the program year beginning (July) 18 months from year that fellow applied. The interview period for applicants is February 1 to February 31. Selected candidates will be invited to interview virtually via Zoom (Pending CDC recommendations).

The complete application package consists of an ERAS submission and includes:

  • ERAS application
  • Personal statement
  • Curriculum vitae
  • Copy of ECFMG certificate (if applicable)
  • Medical school transcript
  • Internal Medicine Board Certification
  • Three letters of recommendation
