Diversity, Health Equity and Inclusion

Reverent care and integrity for all

health and healing for all

The multifaceted issues women, people of color, people with disabilities, LGBTQ+, religious minorities and other marginalized groups face are our responsibility to understand, and address. Everyone deserves to have equal opportunity and access to health care to live their best lives. To do this, we must act with integrity and commitment toward everyone in the communities we serve and set the standard for diversity, health equity and inclusion.

The Sisters of Mercy, who founded MercyOne’s health care system, had an absolute commitment to deliver exceptional care and improve the quality of life for all. We continue this Value of reverence and dedication to the individuality of every colleague, patient and community member by providing a culturally welcoming environment which promotes health and healing for all.

As a part of a sacred Catholic health care Ministry, MercyOne Diversity and Inclusion Council operates with a team approach to remove barriers, address patient needs, uplift and understand our communities while providing radically convenient and personalized care to everyone. It’s our one purpose.

If you would like to get involved or have questions, please contact Jacquie Easley, MercyOne's Division Director of Diversity, Healthy Equity and Inclusion.
