At MercyOne Des Moines, we understand that spiritual and emotional care is as important as medical care when it comes to healing the mind and body. Our Spiritual Care department offers a wide variety of faith-based services to patients, families and friends of all faiths.
As a Catholic hospital, MercyOne Des Moines celebrates Mass and provides Holy Communion and other sacraments for Catholic patients and their loved ones. In addition, the Spiritual Care staff offers non-denominational, ecumenical services and programs and can assist in making the sacraments of your religion available to you during your stay at MercyOne Des Moines.
