Friends of Cedar Falls Medical Center

Your Community Hospital - Right Where You Live

The Sartori Auxiliary celebrated their 60th anniversary in 2014.  In April 2019, the Auxiliary voted on a name change and will now be known as Friends of Cedar Falls Medical Center.
This organization gives more than 20,000 hours each year of volunteer service to the hospital in various capacities from staffing the Gift Shop, the Information Desk, Surgical Waiting Desk and helping in Ambulatory Surgery. Volunteers help in other ways such as typing, filing, baking cookies and various special events.

Friends of Cedar Falls Medical Center have carried on the tradition, first beginning many years ago by the nurses at Cedar Falls Medical Center, of doing a May Breakfast. Members bake coffee cakes for this event, cook and serve breakfast to over 1,000 persons in the community. For the past 29 years, the Friends have sponsored a Festival of Trees that has raised over $1.7 million for the hospital and is truly a gift to our community.

Today, Friends of Cedar Falls Medical Center has 225 members. The hospital continues to be very grateful for all the assistance the Friends and volunteers provide to our hospital.
