R1 - $61,000

R2 - $62,000

R3 - $64,000

Annual Leave

Residents receive 21 days of annual leave.

Continuing Medical Education

An allowance of $1,500 for the three years of training is provided. Residents are allowed five CME days per academic year to attend approved medical meetings. Funds may also be used to purchase textbooks or educational software

In addition, the program pays for resident to attend BLS, ACLS, PALS, Newborn Resuscitation, ALSO, ATLS and EFM certification classes.

Insurance

Three Health insurance plans and dental and vision plans to choose from that best suit your individual needs
Disability and basic life insurance are provided without cost
Malpractice insurance is provided by the organization at no cost to the resident for all medical activities

Meals

Lunches are provided daily in the clinic and a monthly stipend is provided for meals while on duty.

Housing

Residents will receive priority in obtaining housing owned by the hospital, located within five minutes or less walking distance from the hospital. Pets are not allowed in hospital-owned housing at this time.

Licensure

Iowa Medical license, DEA, and State Pharmacy fees are provided by the residency program for all resident years.

Professional Memberships

Annual dues paid for American Academy of Family Physicians, Iowa Academy of Family Physicians, American Medical Association, Iowa Medical Society and Cerro Gordo County Medical Society.

Health Club Membership

Local YMCA membership is provided for the resident and family.

Moonlighting

Moonlighting is available upon receiving an Iowa Permanent License and with the consent of the Program Director.

Interview Expense

Applicants are provided with one night's lodging.

Sign-on/Transition Allowance

A one-time sign-on/transition allowance of $1,400 is provided.

Miscellaneous

Lab coats and Scrubs are provided.
