Enhancing the Comfort of North Iowa Cancer Patients
June 27, 2024With a shared vision of providing the highest standard of care in the area, our donors, through the MercyOne North Iowa Foundation, have recently made a significant impact on our Cancer Center. Their generous support has enabled the replacement of two infusion chairs, enhancing the comfort of patients receiving cancer treatments right here in our community.
Our donors’ contributions are directly improving the lives of nearly 500 patients who are undergoing regular treatment at the MercyOne North Iowa Cancer Center. Thanks to their generosity, high-quality cancer care remains local for individuals who would otherwise face long travel times to Rochester or Des Moines. Their investment in key equipment upgrades, such as new infusion chairs, ensures that we can continue to provide a comfortable care experience for new and future cancer patients during an especially vulnerable time.
As the only all-inclusive cancer center in Cerro Gordo County, we are proud to offer both medical and radiation oncology cancer care at our facility. Our donors play a crucial role in helping us fulfill our mission of providing a holistic care experience. With their support, the MercyOne North Iowa team can continue to offer essential services such as social services, financial counseling, spiritual care, and more to individuals undergoing cancer treatment. The MercyOne North Iowa Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization established in 1993 for the purpose of raising philanthropic funds to strengthen MercyOne’s Mission of providing a healing ministry to all in North Iowa and compassionate care to our most vulnerable community members.
