Helping you understand how to be in charge of your health is just one of the many things Jessica Wineland, DNP, ARNP is passionate about.
Jessica, a graduate of South Dakota State University in Brookings, is a part of the perioperative care pilot program for surgeons at MercyOne. She, along with her team, is a support for the surgical team and our patients, stepping in to help wherever needed when the surgeon is scrubbed in or unavailable.
“My biggest goal is to make our patients hospital and surgical experience a positive one,” she said. “Surgery can be scary and uncomfortable, but it’s important to listen our patient’s concerns and then tailor that care to their needs.”
Perioperative nursing has always been a passion of Jessica’s with additional interests in general surgery, trauma and cardiothoracic surgery.
“The patients, the surgeons and our colleagues are all the things I love most about this job. We are all one team, and we have to be when it comes to surgery.”
Jessica hopes to make your experience a positive one. Outside of work, Jessica is involved in Sunnybrook Church and is married with four kids.
