Community Health and Well-Being

For more than 140 years, Catholic women religious communities operated a growing number of health care organizations throughout Iowa. Their main goal was to increase access to care for those in need, especially the less fortunate. MercyOne, an integrated system of hospitals, clinics and other health care facilities, stands on the shoulders of these faith-based women to nurture and expand the Mission. We remain committed to the delivery of personalized health care and to serving as a compassionate and transforming healing presence within the communities we serve.
